being thankful

So, this past weekend was Thanksgiving. I had a friend ask me how my weekend was, and I actually had to stop and think. The "acceptable" answer would have been "good". But then I got to thinking.

Thanksgiving was really wonderful! Mostly because I realized that I have so much to be thankful for. Putting aside the incredibly true cliche things like "family" and "good health", I am really glad to be in the spot that I am. As much as I loathe getting up in the dark to ride the bus to the University for 8am, I am really thankful that I am IN university, taking the things that I want to take. I'm thankful for my job, and for my boss (who really is great!). I'm amazed by the incredible people that God has put into my life in the last year, and for the things he's done through me and around me at church.

I look back to last year, and realize that I'm in a new, exciting place. God's taking me on new adventures that I didn't ever think would happen. He's blessed me in so many ways.

Thanksgiving was incredibly wonderful. I had a great time with my friends, and with my family. I hope yours was equally as eye-opening.

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."
I Chronicles 16:34
